Public Talk: Raoul Schrott, Arthur Jacobs, and an approach to neurocognitive poetics
The author and literary scholar Raoul Schrott (on the right) and the psychologist Arthur Jacobs talk about the interrelations between basic literary stylistics and elementary neural processes.
Raoul Schrott, born 1964, lives in Austria. His latest publications include: Homers Heimat (2008), Ilias (2008) and Die Blüte des nackten Körpers (2010, all Hanser Verlag München).
Arthur Jacobs, born 1958, studied psychology in Würzburg and Paris. Sincet 2003 he is professor of psychology at the Freie Universität Berlin. He is researcher at the cluster Languages of Emotion and founding director of the D.I.N.E. (Dahlem Institute for Neuroimaging of Emotion).
