Welcome to our Research Subject Registry

The "Cluster of Excellence" Languages of Emotion is composed of numerous interdisciplinary projects investigating the connections between emotions and symbolization.

We are always looking for test persons for a large variety of studies on language acquisition, arts, communications, and, of course, emotions. The research methods we employ are as varied as the topics of our studies. Methods include interviews, questionnaires, and modern neurocognitive tests such as electroencephalography (EEG), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS).

The extent and complexity of testing varies between studies. Research subjects are typically scheduled for one to three appointments. Testing generally occurs in Berlin Dahlem at the Freie Universität. Subjects are paid a stipend.
